Biography

I grew up in Albany, Ga., an ever-growing town located in the Southwest corner of the state. In middle school and high school, I was afforded the opportunity to become extremely involved not only in extracurricular activities but in my community as well.

Whether playing softball, tennis or basketball, I was always active in school sports. I served as president of my class all four years of high school as well as Key Club and Junior Civitan. I was also very blessed to have been able to work for a month in Buena Vista, Colo., at the Young Life Camp, Trail West.

All my life, I knew I wanted to attend Auburn University. After applying for early admission, I made my first visit to the school on the request of my parents, and never looked back. I came in a declared major in apparel merchandising and decided to add public relations to my curriculum not long after. Throughout college, I have been involved in many organizations and have served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for a textiles class.

Upon graduation in December 2009, I plan to pursue a career in either apparel merchandising or public relations, or better yet, both.
